Airport Information
Vilnius International Airport, located in the southern part of Vilnius city (less than 15 minutes away from the city centre), is the largest airport in Lithuania.

How to travel to from the Airport into the city
It is easy enough to reach the city centre from the airport:
• Using a bus, an express bus (1G, 3G), a trolley bus, a mini bus (88 bus to Old Town). A public transportation stop is conveniently located next to the Vilnius International airport.
• Using a special train, running from the airport to the main Railway Station. A railway stop, stairs and passenger lift are installed right outside the airport’s passenger terminal. This is a very quick way to reach the city centre– the ride takes only 8 minutes. The Vilnius Railway Station is located a short distance from the Old Town – the Old Town can be reached on foot.
• Using a taxi. A Vilnius Airport approved taxi rank is just in front of the arrivals terminal. Vilnius Airport approved taxicabs accept credit cards.

Transportation within the city
Vilnius’ public transport system is both reliable and affordable. It is formed by bus, express bus, trolley bus and mini bus (airport-Old Town) lines. Being a compact city and having a well-developed infrastructure, Vilnius’ public transportation stops around the Old Town and the City Centre are organised in a very convenient way so that the main sightseeings, shops, cafes and other objects of interest are easily reachable. The extensive network of public transport guarantees a perfect connection to every district of the city. The timetables are available at every stop.

Tipping
Tipping isn’t very common in Lithuania, so don’t feel the need to tip while you travel around the country!
Taxis: Tipping a taxi driver isn’t common or expected. You can round up to make things easier.
Tipping in Hotels: Tipping hotel staff isn’t common or expected.
Tipping in Restaurants: You should check to see if service is included on the bill. If it isn’t then you should tip 5-10% for good service.
Tipping in Bars: Tipping bar tenders isn’t expected, you may see a tip jar on the counter to throw change in though.
